What Makes It Different
A hen party activity that actually gets people talking
This isn't a paint-and-sip night. It isn't a workshop. It's a relaxed, fun, slightly cheeky life drawing class with a professional male model, followed by a mini butler experience where he stays to serve drinks, pose for photos, judge your masterpieces and run light party games.
It works whether your group is six or twenty, whether you're in a city apartment, a Cotswolds cottage or a beach house in Cornwall. The tone is cheeky but classy. The model is professional. The atmosphere stays fun without ever getting awkward.
It's also a brilliant icebreaker for groups where not everyone knows each other — and the drawings make the best possible souvenirs.
The Experience
How your 1.5 hours plays out
Arrival and setup

Life drawing
A relaxed, guided sketching session with a series of fun poses. No artistic skill required. Pencils, paper, rubbers and sharpeners are all provided. The pace is light, the atmosphere is warm.
Mini butler experience
The model stays on to serve your drinks (you provide them), pose for photos, judge the best drawings and run light party games. It's the part everyone talks about afterwards.

Good To Know
A couple of things to know
Nothing that will spoil the day — just things worth knowing before you book.
Made for Every Group
Why this works for any hen group
The class is designed to work across different group dynamics. Mixed-age groups — including mums, sisters and aunties — take to it brilliantly because the tone is classy enough that nobody feels out of place. It's cheeky without being crude.
Smaller, intimate hens work beautifully. Six or eight close friends in a nice flat with a bottle of fizz is one of our most common and most-loved setups.
Larger weekend-long celebrations use the class as a centrepiece activity before heading out for dinner or a night out. It sets the tone perfectly.
Mixed gender groups and LGBT groups are fully welcome. The experience is warm, inclusive and professional regardless of the makeup of your party.
And for the group where not everyone knows each other yet? There's no better icebreaker. You can't stay a stranger when you're both trying to draw the same person's elbow.
Extend the Experience
Want to extend the experience?
Many hens add extra butler time after the class, so the model stays on to serve drinks, look after the group and keep things flowing before you head out for the evening. It's a relaxed, seamless way to bridge the gap between the activity and your evening plans.
You can request extra butler time when getting your instant quote. Just mention how long you'd like him to stay and it'll be factored into your price.
Be Prepared
What to sort before your class
The class itself is fully managed by the model. Your job is just to make sure the setting is ready and the group is in the right mood. Here's a simple checklist to run through in the days before.
- Drinks for the group — bubbly works brilliantly, and mocktails for anyone not drinking.
- Light snacks or canapés if you want them. Keep it to things that won't interfere with drawing.
- A surface to lean drawing paper on — coffee table, hardback books or kitchen counter.
- Comfortable seating for all guests, ideally facing a clear space for the model.
- Room layout sorted — clear floor space in the centre or at the front for posing, guests in a semi-circle.
- A playlist running quietly in the background. Fun and upbeat works well.
- Phone fully charged. You'll want photos.
- A designated photographer in the group so everyone else can enjoy the moment.
On The Day
What hens usually wear
The class is at your accommodation, so wear whatever feels good. Some hen groups go all-out with matching outfits, hen sashes and accessories — and it looks great in photos. Others keep it relaxed in loungewear or casual clothes. There's no dress code and you won't feel overdressed or underdressed either way.
If you're heading out straight after, plan an outfit you can sketch comfortably in. You'll be seated for the first 45 minutes, so anything that works sitting down is ideal.
The model will be wearing very little, so don't worry about being underdressed. He's definitely the most casual person in the room.
Room Setup
How to set up your room
The model needs a clear space in the centre or at the front of the room to pose in. This doesn't need to be large — a 2-metre square is plenty. A chair or stool for seated poses is helpful but not essential; he'll adapt to whatever's there.
Guests sit in a semi-circle or rows facing him. Everyone needs a clear sightline and somewhere to rest their drawing paper. For groups of four or five, a coffee table in front works well. Larger groups tend to use hardback books or trays on laps, which works just as well and keeps the setup flexible.
Good lighting helps with drawing. Natural daylight is ideal if you're doing a daytime session. For evenings, bright overhead lighting or lamps pointed at the model's space give the best results. Candles alone are romantic but make for interesting drawings.
The model will assess the space when he arrives and suggest any small adjustments if needed. He's done this in everything from a compact city flat to a ten-bedroom country house, so nothing will faze him.
Every Group Is Different
Will this suit our group?
Almost certainly yes. The class is designed to flex around the energy of the group, not the other way around.
Mixed ages — including mums and aunties — are welcomed warmly and work brilliantly. The professionalism of the model means the tone never tips into anything inappropriate. It's a shared experience, not a competition.
Smaller groups from as few as four are completely fine. Intimate groups often say the experience feels more personal and the model can spend more time engaging with each guest.
Larger groups of up to 20 work well with standard materials. For bigger parties, let us know in the quote so we can supply the right amount of drawing materials.
Shy guests settle in quickly. No one is put on the spot and no one has to show their drawing if they don't want to. The model is good at reading the room and bringing quieter guests gently into the fun.
The bride who's nervous — also very common. The model is professional, classy and puts the whole group at ease. By the time he's been in the room for 10 minutes, nervous brides are usually the most enthusiastic participants.
No Nonsense
The honest answers to common worries
Will it be awkward?
Honestly, no. The model leads the experience from the moment he arrives. He's done this hundreds of times and he knows exactly how to settle a group. The awkward anticipation disappears within about two minutes of him being in the room.
Is it actually fun, or is it weird?
It's fun. Groups belly-laugh all the way through — partly at the situation, partly at each other's drawings, partly because the model is genuinely good at keeping energy up. It's one of the rare hen party activities where everyone's engaged.
Is the model rude or crude?
No. Cheeky, yes. Classy, always. The experience is designed to sit in the sweet spot between fun and professional. There's no crude language, no inappropriate behaviour. Just a confident, charming model who knows how to work a room.
What if some hens are nervous?
Completely normal. The model handles nervous guests brilliantly — he's warm and funny without being intimidating. Within 10 minutes even the most anxious guests are usually the ones laughing loudest.
What if some hens are very forward?
Also handled professionally. The model is experienced with lively groups and stays in control of the experience throughout. Fun and enthusiastic is always welcome.
Is it suitable for mums and aunties?
Yes. The tone is cheeky and classy, never crude. Mums and aunties often end up being the most competitive sketchers in the room. We've never had a complaint from an older guest — only compliments.
